IDEAS MATTER

Ordnance Survey has traditionally suffered from lost revenue opportunities due to building professionals using unlicensed OS data. So, to put OS back on the map, we generated awareness of the issue in the relevant sectors and educated consumers on the importance (and legal requirement) of using licensed data.

We created a series of press ads to run in the relevant land and property sector and business titles. We also launched a microsite – www.bestpracticemakesperfect.co.uk – that enables architects, engineers and surveyors to obtain concise information.

RESULTS MATTER

To date, just less than 50% of site traffic has come from repeat visitors. And with an average dwell time of a little under 4 minutes, the site has shown its ability to engage – so we’re definitely heading in the right direction!
