With a strong capsule offering from key competitors and Bold solidly established on the market as a lead fragrance brand, Surf had to shout very loud to ensure the success of its capsule launch. So, we created a gorgeous digital and DM campaign using a virtual Surf flower stall online, and offered the chance to win a scentsational shopping spree every day.

We used a celebrity, Marcus Patric (formerly from Hollyoaks) as the face of the campaign; a cheeky charming chappie to man the stall, who our target consumer easily recognised - and couldn't wait to get fresh with!

Results Matter

The campaign absolutely smashed all targets and is one of the most successful Unilever digital campaigns ever, with more than 37 million initiated video plays, of which 19 million were completed and resulted in a +2% household penetration vs. forecast KPI.
