Using the simple but hugely powerful insight that there is an England manager in all of us, we gave hopeful fans the chance to give their very own World Cup team talk to England squad members.
The 'Team Talk' campaign kicked off with a nationwide on-pack, supported by everything from POS, online and a branded YouTube channel to radio, TV and outdoor 48 sheets.
Results Matter
As well as motivating every England fan in the nation, Carlsberg became the most associated lager brand of the World Cup - resulting in its highest ever sales period in history.
The campaign also raised an additional 6m incremental sales of pints of Carlsberg, and it was named the best performing brewer with a 46% uplift, versus total category uplift of 16% in the on-trade. We'll drink to that!
